How long have you been with Enhance?

Since September 2022

I love working with Enhance because...

The connections between educators and children which is evident, demonstrates a commitment to ensuring children are at the heart of everything we do, I enjoy my work as I can see the organisation strives to ensure the highest standards of practice and quality outcomes for children, families and the wider community. Enhance Family Day Care has a culture of collaboration and team work and builds strong partnerships with all staff, families, educators and children. Enhance Family Day Care operates with honesty and integrity and a real sense of belonging can be felt, when working for the organisation.

I would describe my role for Enhance as;

 An opportunity to connect with Educators and Practice Mentors, looking at ways we can improve quality outcomes for children. I see my role as an opportunity to collaborate and support educators understand the National Quality Framework and the legislation and laws associated with this. I am passionate about providing high quality care for children and feel my role as Quality and Compliance project Officer will be able to contribute to this.

Hobbies

reading, travelling to new places, going to the movies, listening to music,, spending time with friends, writing poetry and doing mosaic art

How long have you been with Enhance?

I’ve been with Enhance for the past 9 years. My first 6 years I opened my heart, my home and family to families within the Ipswich Community, as an Educator. Then subsequently, as a Practice Mentor with Enhance Family Day Care.

I love working with Enhance because...

I believe in the importance of building and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders to fulfil our shared vision of best outcomes for all children. I’m genuinely committed to fostering the learning, development and well-being of young children, by looking to the future, envisaging change and embracing international best practice.

I would describe my role for Enhance as;

In my role as a Practice Mentor, I support and collaborate with Educators as they reflect on their pedagogical practice and goal set through a strengths based approach.

Hobbies

In my down time, I’m a home body, enjoying time with my husband, my 2 boisterous boys (6 & 9 years old) and my extended family. My main creative outlet is the Fibre Arts (crochet, knitting and weaving). I have a love of music and play the guitar, African djembe and glockenspiel terribly ☺. I’m also an active in member on Community Advisory Committees within Ipswich, to be the a voice and advocate for children, young families and Family Day Care.
